Support and Training for Beginning and Local Farmers Who Use Sustainable Growing Practices

Quizbee.webp

We believe that food is medicine for our bodies, our community, and our planet. In order for this to be possible, we need to support our farmers who grow this incredible food! It’s essential that all our local farmers have access to the resources and support they need to create a business that sustains them, builds healthy soils, and feeds our community.

Whether you’re interested in starting a career in agriculture or you want to support your local farmers, you can get involved and read about our programs below.

Beginning Farmer Training

The Beginning Farmer Training program trains and mentors beginning farmers, helping them start their own farm and reducing the barriers of entry into a career in agriculture, especially for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and veteran farmers. We provide access to land, infrastructure, equipment, technical assistance, classroom curriculum, and mentorship. The Beginning Farmer Training program offers many opportunities for you to get the support that is right for you.
